The Creighton Public Library will be holding a free 10-week health promotion program that combines bingo, with health trivia and capable exercises for everyone! The event will extend from June 17th to August 28th on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:15-10:00AM. All participants are recommended to sign-up before the end of the first week.

The Creighton Historical Center invites everyone to join them for a free will donation fundraiser lunch! The lunch will be on Friday June 20th from 11am-1pm at the Creighton Senior Center. Enjoy a delicious lunch of hot ham and cheese sandwiches, salad, chips, and dessert. All proceeds will go to the Creighton Historical Center.
Creighton Berry Pepper Days Ribfest is looking for participants. Ribfest will take place Saturday, June 21 at the Creighton City Park with serving beginning at 5:00 p.m. Participants must cook 10 racks of ribs which will be provided and there will be cash prizes paid out for the top 5 spots. The annual Memorial Day program will be held at Creighton Community School at 10am on Monday, May 26th. For any community choir members that would like to sing at the Memorial Day program, practice will be at 9am on the 26th with program to follow at 10am.
The VFW will be be putting flags up at the Cemetery on May 21st at 5pm and taking them down on the 28th at 5pm. Any help would be appreciated.
The Creighton Community Country Club is sponsoring an Adult/Child nine hold tournament on Sunday, May 18 for children K-12 grade and an adult. Registration will start at 1:30 p.m. for a per person fee which includes a meal. There is limited golf cart rental available. Mass of Christian Burial for Kenneth Meyer, age 81, of Creighton, Nebraska will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, at St. Ludger Catholic Church in Creighton. A 10:00 a.m. rosary will be held prior to the service. Reverend Jeremy Hans will be celebrant, with burial in St. Ludger Catholic Cemetery in Creighton.
Military honors will be provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1151, American Legion Post 74, Offutt Air Force Base Honor Guard, and American Legion Riders.
Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the church, with a 7:00 p.m. wake service.

City Wide Cleanup in Creighton will take place on Thursday, May 1 for the north side of Main Street. Please have your items at curbside by 8:00 a.m. on the respective days.
Items accepted for free pickup at curbside include, furniture, metal, old lawnmowers, general household and garage items, and appliances. Any appliance with freon must have it safely removed.
Items not accepted are televisions, tires, computers, chemicals, liquid paint, (dry paint is accepted) construction materials, (no doors or windows). No clothing. If you have questions please call the city office at 402-358-3557.

A Celebration of Life for Aaron Emory, age 46, will be held on Sunday, April 27 at 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center in Creighton. Aaron died on January 30 at his home.

The Winnetoon Easter Egg Hunt will be Friday, April 18 at 4:00 p.m. at the Winnetoon Park. Meet at the Brunswick State Bank parking lot. For ages 2-10 in four groups. There will also be an Easter Basket Decorating Contest. Baskets will be judged at 3:45. The Easter Egg Hunt is sponsored by Brunswick State Bank and the Winnetoon BBQ.

The Annual Creighton Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 12 at 11:00 a.m. at the Creighton City Park. Meet at the Creighton Swimming Pool parking lot for the children to get into their designated age groups. A Grand Prize will be presented to the child in each of the five age groups that finds the grand prize egg. If the Egg Hunt would need to be postponed due to weather it will be held on April 19.
St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Verdigre will be having their final fish fry on Friday, April 11, from 5-7:30 p.m. at the church auditorium. They will be serving baked and fried fish, scalloped potatoes, mac and cheese, salad bar, and a brownie for a set price.
The Creighton-Bloomfield-Wausa Legion baseball team is holding a Fish Fry on Friday, April 11 from 5-7 p.m. at the St. Ludger Social Hall. Fried and baked fish will be offered along with cheesy potatoes, coleslaw, a dinner roll, and dessert. The dinner is a free will donation event. All proceeds go to the 2025 baseball season.
