Evangelists Tom and Karen Cobb, from Merriman, NE will present a concert of Christian music at Faith, Hope & Love Fellowship, in Creighton, on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 2 PM. The Cobbs have performed here for several years at the annual Gospel Sing. Refreshments will be served following the concert. They will also be sharing in the Sunday morning service at 10:45 AM.

A Basic Sewing II Class is being offered at Creighton Public Library on Oct. 23rd from 6-9 p.m. and Oct. 28th from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. This is a non credit class offered through Northeast Community College and there is a fee for taking this class. This is a non-credit class and is for the person who has some computer knowledge and can use the mouse and keyboard. There is a charge for this class. There will be a fish fry on Friday, November 10th from 5pm to 7pm at St. Ludger Social hall. We will be serving fried fish, baked potato, salad and dessert bar. This is a free will offering. There will be children activities along with BINGO. All proceeds from this event will go towards social hall upgrades.
The Creighton Public Library would like to invite everyone to the presentation "Nebraska Through Song and Story" with Dan Holtz on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. This program interweaves songs with excerpts from works by Willa Cather, John Neihardt, Mari Sandoz and Bess Streeter Aldrich and tells the stories of the people who came to and through early Nebraska, the pioneers who crossed the overland trails, the settlers, and the Native Americans.

Memorial services for James O. “Sarge” Smith, age 85, of Creighton, Nebraska will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 6, at Brockhaus Funeral Home in Creighton. Reverend Martha Atkins will officiate, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery in Creighton.
Military Honors will be provided by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1151, American Legion Post 74, and Army National Guard Honor Guard.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Plainview Arts Council presents Nebraska Shakespeare: Romeo & Juliet on Sunday, October 1st at 2:00 pm at the Plainview High School Auditorium. This is a modern day adaptation of the Shakespeare play. Admission is Adults $6, Students $3, and Arts Council Members will be admitted with paid membership.
The Creighton Booster Club will be sponsoring a tailgate party on Friday, September 15 before the Bulldog vs. West Holt football game. They will be serving from 5:30-7:00 p.m. in the concession stand. The menu will include hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, and a drink for a free will offering.
