The veterans of Creighton VFW Post 1151 will host their semi-annual Chicken Feed on Monday, April 15th from 5 - 7 pm for a free will donation. Proceeds will help Post 1151 support: VFW National Childrens Home, Voice of Democracy essay contest, Norfolk Veterans Home, Avenue of Flags, Funeral Honor Guard, Veterans Medical Support Programs, Hospital Equipment Lending Locker, Gifts of Joy and Santaland, Used Flag Disposal. Takeout and delivery service is offered. Phone (402-360-1921) The VFW Post is also collecting funds to build a new storage shed to protect the 300 flagpoles for the Avenue of Flags from rain, snow, and rust.
